THE SUBSIDIARY OF KAZTRANSOIL JSC IN GEORGIA INCREASED THE TRANSSHIPMENT OF OIL CARGO BY 22% IN 2022

Batumi oil terminal LLP (100% share belongs to KazTransOil JSC) and Batumi Seaport LLP (KazTransOil JSC has 100% exclusive management rights) the total volume of cargo transshipment for 2022 amounted to 7.6 million tons, which is 1.3 million tons more than the same period in 2021.

In particular, the volume of transshipment of oil, oil products and gas increased by 0.4 million tons compared to 2021 and amounted to 1.9 million tons. The increase in transshipment volumes is associated with an increase in transshipment of ferrous petroleum products from Kazakhstan, as well as with the continuation of cooperation with Tengizchevroil LLP on transshipment of oil and liquefied hydrocarbon gas.

The volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 1.7 million tons, which is 0.5 million tons more than in 2021, the reason for this was the increase in transshipment of carbamide and sugar raw materials.

The container terminal handled 119 thousand TEU of cargo in 2022, which is 20 thousand TEU more than in 2021, the growth was due to the redirection of the COSCO container line from the Port of Poti to the Port of Batumi and the increase in the US transport market from 2022.

KazTransOil JSC directly owns and manages production assets in Georgia through Batumi oil terminal LLP (BMT). BMT provides services for the transshipment, pumping, storage of oil, petroleum products and gas, as well as products of their processing using its berths, technological pipelines and tanks. The competitive advantage of BMT is the ability to store and load various varieties of oil and petroleum products (including liquefied petroleum gas).
